Before I say anything, I feel it in colour. A morning can be rosé, a memory deep violet, a laugh a pink you can almost hear. Painting is the most honest language I know: unfiltered, direct and sometimes a little loud.
The square is my favourite format. It has no direction, no top more important than the bottom. It rests in itself and still allows everything. Within this quiet frame, colour is free to dance, to overlap, to vanish and to return.
My paintings grow slowly. I apply, scrape away, let dry, begin again. Beneath every surface lie stories you do not see at once, but feel. That depth is what I am looking for: the moment a painting stops being paint and starts to breathe.
I want my works not just to hang on a wall but to live in a room. To make someone pause for a moment on a grey Tuesday. To warm, provoke, comfort. Because in the end I truly believe: life is boring without color.
