I paint because, to me, colour is feeling. In my studio I create large-format acrylic paintings, mostly square, my favourite format. The square gives me calm and structure, and at the same time the freedom to play with colour and form. I am drawn to layers, textures and the moment a painting gains its own depth. I often work on a piece for weeks, adding, taking away and letting the process surprise me. Every work is unique and meant to fill the space it hangs in with life. Because for me: life is boring without color.
